Amaru, is the symbol of wisdom, a mythical being that is a mediator between the earth and the sun, with his strength he crosses worlds, seeking balance. It is mentioned that the Incas descend from amarus, therefore being considered ancestors of the Incas. At the same time, Amaru is mentioned as the son of the apu Yaro or Pariacaca.
The Amaru philosophically has a metaphorical connotation and in its symbolic presentation it contains the four elements:
* Water: toad feet,
* Earth: serpent's body,
* Fire, puma claws,
* Air: condor's wings.
