Atzeries is a demon of Catalan popular bestiary within Barcelona. He appears with head of a billy goat, curled horns, feathered wings, clawed hands, human torso and arms, and a somewhat curled tail. He was influenced and named based on the legend from a neighborhood, regarding the Casa del Dimoni (The Demon's House). the legend goes that a 19th century business man named Agustí Atzeries, lived in that very house and attempted to make renovations but had gotten bankrupt while doing so. In order to pay for the rest of the renovations, he sold his soul to the devil and a result, won the lottery. To show his gratitude, Agustí Atzeries named the house after the devil.
