Sometimes called the coffin crocodile for obvious reasons, these Filipino reptiles are known to lurk in deep rivers and lakes, and to catch prey up to the size of a large cow in their gaping mouths. They have large sacks of skin underneath their jaws, in which living prey items are subdued and transported to and from a nest. There are reports of the creatures also being found in sea caves and other marine environments, though these are unconfirmed.
