In ancient demonology and forgotten grimoires, the Glutton Demon known by many names, such as Gurveth, Mahl’thos, or The Maw Unending is the embodiment of insatiable appetite. Unlike demons of wrath or pride, this being does not rage or deceive it consumes. Flesh, soul, memory, light, even sound nothing escapes its hunger.
Legends say the Glutton Demon was birthed at the end of a celestial feast, when a god of harvest was tricked into eating too much and vomited up the excess. That excess gained will and form, becoming a being that could never feel full. It drifted from world to world, gorging itself on everything in reach—until it was sealed in the underworld, chained with seven rings of starvation and buried beneath a tomb of salt.
Worshippers of the Glutton Demon are rare but feared. They offer sacrifices in the form of excess—lavish banquets, wasted crops, the slaughter of livestock—and in return, the demon grants them endless food, at the cost of their self-control. Over time, they become twisted reflections of their master: swollen, ravenous, and hollow-eyed.
It is said that should the seven rings ever break, the Glutton Demon will return—not with fire or storm, but with silence, and a hunger vast enough to devour the sun.
