Das Hanghuhn (The Hanghuhn) in Exhibition in the Steam Engine Museum
The Hanghuhn or Common Hanghuhn (Gallus gallus conatus) is a fantasy creature mentioned primarily in jokes. The core idea of these chickens exist that, due to their habitat (slope, dike, and steeply sloping terrain), have evolved to have legs of different lengths through evolutionary adaptation, enabling them to stand better on slopes. Similar jokes in other regions also concern corresponding hillside or dike sheep and the Dahu from Switzerland.
