Inondo or Ing'omi is a snake from Malawi folklore. Luxun Mlenga said that a snake with a diamond on its forhead requires "medicine" in order to kill it. Isaac Saal said that he read a story that it has a white stone that cures any disease. Mr. Mkanawire added that the snake has a light in front and lives on the Mafinga Ridge. As proof I was shown a light on the ridge that night. I have seen lights there many times despite the fact that it is an uninhabited ad seldom visited area. Happy Ngosi said that Inondo or Ing'omi is common in B'ulambya (the Lambia area) but is scarse and is dangerous (believed to be the most dangerous of all). He said it can stand on its tail and has a diamond shaped thing on its head. It is also used as a charm guarding against witchcraft.
