Mandrakes are a living root vegetable, they are quite small but masters at camouflage, being able to burrow into dirt in a seconds notice. Mandrakes flowers are their means of reproduction, when they bloom during autumn, bees can't help but pollinating them for their sweet nectar. The flowers form bubs in which baby mandrakes come from. baby mandrakes are very tiny and stick with their mother till they can defend themselves. how many flowers that grow that season are how many babies she could have but there is no guarantee all of them will be pollinated.

The mandrake is a notorious (albeit highly poisonous) plant of ancient origins with distinct features. Mandrakes commonly have a short stem bearing a tuft of oval leaves and these leaves form a rosette at the base of each plant. The flowers are bell-shaped and consist of five petals, usually purple or yellow in color, and its fruit is a fleshy orange berry. Mandrake roots are long, thick, and forked – which is often why they are described as human-like. This human resemblance ties back to the idea that when uprooted, the mandrake will "scream”.

Historians believe that Mandrakes call themselves that to trick people into leaving them alone. people expecting a dragon person would stay away in fear, as most dragons are dangerous beasts that you don't want to go near. While in actuality they are plant people who according to several ancient cultures taste pretty good. Mandrakes do have strong allegiance with other plant people like the dryads aswell as many types of Fae who are a similar size to them.
