Four depictions of perytons by Cyclone62 (Mythologysleuth)

The perytons are hybrid animals of the most of them. These bird-winged deers was described as a deer with wings, tail, and hind legs of a bird. Another original depiction of the peryton is said to have the head, neck, forelegs and antlers of a stag, combined with the plumage, wings and hindquarters of a large bird, although some interpretations portray the peryton as a deer in all but coloration and bird's wings. The Peryton can be used as a way to describe the species of winged cervid, however, it is technically incorrect. In fact, a Greek name word, Pterelaphus was the word that described that. Despite 'peryton' being incorrect, it is still generally accepted in modern times anyway.

Snawfus is another creature with albino-like skin, dove wings and cherry blossoms on its antlers.

Another vampiric peryton is called a vamperyton.
