The Sea-Dog or Sea-Pup also known as Fish dog, Sea-Puppy or Dogfish (not to be confused for the real life fish) is a creature found within heraldry. It is most commonly depicted as a dog (more specifically a Talbot hound) with fish scales and fins, webbed feet, and a beaver tail. Very rare variations may appear as a dog with webbed forelegs, and a hindquarters of a fish tail (or even they have a hindquarters of a cetacean or pinniped tail in modern times). These creatures are often found as charges in heraldry.
